I would recommend this doctor as I was made to feel comfortable an relaxed about having the operation as a previous doctor had over described the procedure with no thought to how nervous I was the operation went as I expected an the results of the scarring just after a few months are amazing it's quite a large scar which is already blending into the natural creases on my neck and I can't thank the doctor an her team enough

After a very poor experience at the first ENT consultation in May 2015, I requested a second opinion with a consultant from a different medical team. What a difference at the second consultation in Lancaster with Ms Shadaba Ahmed. She let me explain fully what I had experienced; we had a proper face-to-face conversation; she listened; she asked appropriate questions; she explained in detail what she thought had caused my hearing problems and dizzy spells nearly twelve months ago. She even had a look in my ears. None of this happened at the previous consultation. I came out of the consultation feeling positive and uplifted by the experience. Just one criticism (not of the consultation) - the RLI location map on the website needs updating. It still has the ENT department in s different building.

I have been under Ms Ahmed's care for the last 6 years and have had 5 surgeries (4 under Ms Ahmed) and I'm about to undergo a further surgery. I have always found Ms Ahmed to be extremely approachable and my care is always first class. Due to the nature of my issues, I have found that I can access care immediately or, as a priority, when required. I trust Ms Ahmed's decision without any doubt. I am very realistic of how busy the ENT schedule is and feel that Ms Ahmed gives 110% to ensure that patients are seen within realistic timescales and that each patient is given her complete attention. Having had so many surgeries, I know the process following surgery, However, it would be useful for patients post op to receive a little information sheet explaining what the recovery process may entail - I know I phoned in the early days for issues that were completely normal to the recovery process and whilst I was grateful to be able to receive the information speedily, I was aware that I was wasting valuable resource for Ms Ahmed and her team.. Keep up the good work lovely lady!!

I have been receiving ongoing care from Ms Ahmed for the past 4yrs. Some of the surgeries I have undergone to restore my hearing have been quite radical & have involved major surgery. From the very beginning of my first consultation with Ms Ahmed to this present day the quality & professional ongoing care has been truly wonderful. She has been with me through all of the treatments & aftercare, & I could not have had, or would have had any other consultant treating me. She always been attentive to my needs & concerns & has always sought to give advise & listen when I have found things difficult to cope with. The quality & care of both Ms Ahmed & the nursing staff have been excellent, & it has been good to know that I have been in such good hands.
